A foggy hillside, a mountain of dust and pebbles, heaps of fresh asphalt by a country road. Some rainbow coloured rope streched between the white walls, vertical wooden sticks and a cairn of volcanic stones – a few fixtures in an otherwise amorphous landscape. Walking along a path, one does not only leave physical imprints and traces behind, but also invisible strata of emotional sediments; ones sedimentality.
In Sedimentality Linn Pedersen picks up the thread of her previous project Floor Arrangements, where analogue photographs and site-specific sculptures form a continuous installation. Sedimentality shows a subjective landscape where the map and the terrain melt together and continuously reshape each other.
